can someone validate a claim I heard on my FB page, that there was a sexual assault in the park and the police were initially attempting to get to the area and was prevented from doing so by some, not all of the protesters.

i haven't heard that, there are a lot of rumors. I read that it was because someone tried to lite a police officer on fire. Again nothing that is factual atm. Too the guy that got hit in the head, i hope you get better.

There is absolutely nothing about that on the news over here.

Not to say that it didnt, but if that did happen, I think if you heard about it on FB, then the local media would have already pounced on that story by now.

I'm sure the local crack dealers, pimps, and stick up crews are enjoying the fact that all these police resources are going to oust a bunch of lazy hippies and disgruntled unemployed people.

43% of America is "a bunch of lazy hippies and disgruntled unemployed people"? ... huh! I did not know that.
Poll: 43 percent agree with views of "Occupy Wall Street" - Political Hotsheet - CBS News

If you base your judgements off of New York times polls, I have beach front property in Arizona to sell you.

Even if 43 percent of Americans support the idea, they are not out in the streets. Most of us are too busy working for a damn living and raising our children to bother with such antic. Tho I do amditt i get a good LoL out of long hairs getting maced.
