We are in town currently and have a bit more time than the last visit. This time I had hubby drive me through Whitfield Estates and show me the Austin House. I started to cry after seeing it and the neighborhood. I thought it was so cool. I would have been happy there, but hubby would not because the airport would have bothered him (not me).
The yards are so spacious and I love the way you can see the bay between peoples homes. I consoled myself by thinking about how much I love the idea of being able to walk to Mortons and the nearby restaurants. But I wanted to tell you I can understand why you love your neighborhood.

My brother is under contract to purchase a home on the bay side of Whitfield Estates (but not on the water). What a fabulous neighborhood!

Oh, I am glad you got to see it and see what I love about it!
Our home is old and modest, but I still get to see the beautiful water every day! And the neighbors here are wonderful. I love how it's right off 41, plenty of businesses nearby and equally distant between downtown Sarasota and Bradenton (easy drive to beaches, too!)
I am sure you will love your new home in Southside village - one of the most desirable spots in town!
Coastal chic - he is going to LOVE Whitfield Estates! So many benefits to living here.

Our home is old and modest, but I still get to see the beautiful water every day! And the neighbors here are wonderful. I love how it's right off 41, plenty of businesses nearby and equally distant between downtown Sarasota and Bradenton (easy drive to beaches, too!)
