Head for the mountains. It's a short drive. The snow can stay up there.

My thoughts exactly!
Snow is great to look at, or to play in - but I'd rather not have it around as I go about my daily life...

No kidding! I'm at between twelve and thirteen hundred feet elevation and I want the snow to stay above me.

Eleven degrees here this morning!

I still have water - but barely. It acts like it wants to stop running but then comes back on. I put a new pressure switch on yesterday, so that shouldn't be it. Hopefully the sun comes out enough today that I can get above freezing. No wind here this morning, though.

Temperatures will stay negative all day which doesn't happen often in this area.

I would like a repeat of January 2012. It was 2 school years back and my kids got several snow days off of school. Nothing wrong with one snow storm a season, and then it goes back to normal. I wouldn't want to deal all winter, but one good week of it is nice. They complained last year of no snow day, we will see this school year....

I agree! Sun is nice and all, but only if it is going to be warm out, but if it has to come with cold, really dry air, no thanks! Had enough of that in the Midwest, I hated those conditions there and hate them here! I can't wait for our mid 40's, clouds, and drizzle- that is much more comfortable to me.

A little warmer here this morning - about sixteen degrees when I got up this morning about 8:00.

I'm ready for the thaw that's supposed to be coming this week; for one thing, my poor old dog died and I can't even bury him.

So sorry to hear about your dog!
I think most of us are ready for that thaw! Up to 21º here in the boonies...

Thank you. He was sixteen, so not totally unexpected.

Still sad, though.
