Despite the weather in the Puget Sound region, nearly half the state is still in a drought condition. Things could get ugly come August.

Yes there was. After a very wet spring, June through August of 1993 King county saw 10.82 inches of rain, 4.22" above normal, 7th wettest on record. That fall was drier than normal though.

I love the cooler weather with some cloud cover. Long may it continue. So much better than wilting heat and/or smoke in the air.

Amen to that!! I am still putting off getting an AC unit. So far so good! No AC in the summer........I never would have imagined.

I lived in the Seattle area for 31 years, and in that time I learned it is always.....
drought
almost drought
drought forecast
must prepare for drought
on the verge of drought
recovering from drought

No matter how grey and rainy it is.

And oddly enough, all of the above conditions results in water rates being jacked-up every year. Coincidence ?

Don’t wait too long, there may not be any left when it turns hot and you decide to go for it. We have not used ours in the family room yet, but have run the one in our upstairs bedroom most nights. Right now it’s 72 outside, barely tolerable 75 inside due to the oven for dinner, and that heat will rise before bedtime.

Actually it's straight out of the Month of June. We usually get Junuary, not Julyuary. May is usually the good month!

Exactly! It's just a late Junuary.

That reminds me, I read this week that Seattle and other parts of western WA were officially in a drought just this Spring.
