Have you guys looked at the extended forecast? It's like straight out of the month of May (except a little warmer). I've personally not lived here long enough to see such a soggy July.

I love this weather so it's not bothersome to me, but nonetheless it feels out of place.

Yes it's not a normal July. It's usually much sunnier than that.

The climate is changing. We are seeing low pressure systems over Western Washington that are apparently here to stay for the rest of the month. Very unusual.

from my previous residence of 60 years, Salem Oregon, 200 miles south, is forecasted 80-93 for next 10 days, partly cloudy and very warm nite temperature of high 60s. Which is warmer than normal during the day and very warm at night.
Yes, weather is changing.

After the smoke-fests that were the previous 2 summers, I have zero qualms with these cool, grey days we've been having.

I too am perfectly happy with the weather so far this summer. It reminds me of the first summer after we moved here, 1993. Nice green lawn, have not yet had to water it, nice and cool for outdoor activities.

NWS explained that it is because of the unusually hot weather in Alaska.

I definitely noticed it and made a thread about it last week:

I missed that one, but looks like you posted generally in the WA forum...

Well, I think we're all in agreement that it's a bit more cloudy and rainy.

Again, no complaints, although I'm going camping on the peninsula next week...

I like some light rain in July very much, like overnight into this AM. It's good for my lawn, plants, and particularly my strawberry patch. Roads were (are) a bit skittish this AM, oh well.

A month of no rain...more typical July/August as we know...scares me, flat-out. The burning starts past few years in August, and still might of course, and I do *not* like how that makes me feel to say the least.

Light rain clears all the crap out of the air. Each morning feels redemptive. Yesterday at 5:45am...I'm an early riser anymore...the doe was back in my yard. 2nd time in seven years, huh? She's a big'un, probably a hundred pounds and 30" at the shoulder. She trotted out. Then, poked her head back and trotted in. And stuck around awhile, grazing which I actually appreciated as it cleans up my plants a bit while I was in the hot tub.
