The "my way or the highway attitude" by the Repblican administration certainly does not help. The terrorists want us to overeact so that we can be overextended in our forces and drain our coffers along with eventually causing acute discontent in our people, and eventually want us down on our knees. McCain and the Bush administration who tend to overrreact will feed into this.
We need to win the war on terror, but fight through other mediums that may be more effective than force. We should start playing mind games on the terrorists and put those numbnuts back in their lowly place. Obama is not that stupid on foreign policy and find better ways to deal with adversaries.

I don't think you disagree with me. I feel pretty much the same way. The haliburton deals were criminal. Force isn't always the best way to win the day (but sadly, it is often the case when dealing with nuts)...

I'm glad Obama won, I think McCain is too much of a hothead to be beneficial to us.
On #11 - I voted against it, the individuals involved have to live with their decision, not have the decision made for them.

I didn't see any of it? Personally, I liked her and had zero problem with her being a VP. What possible reason would anyone have to attack her now? The election is over!
Did anyone happen to feel a little zinger, when in Obama's acceptance speech he said, "change is coming, it might not happen in a year, it might not happen in a term"... Seemed like back peddling to me, or was it just me? Now reasonably, NOBODY could expect Obama or ANYONE to make a huge difference in a short time, but I don't know that I expected that statement in his very first speech...
I say, leave Sarah alone, she's not hurting anyone.

I agree. It expected no less.
Sarah handled herself quite well. I think she honestly presidental material. I was impressed with her and her abilities. It was funny how it drew sharp jabs from her opposition. Now it became a Obama Palin race instead of a McCain Obama race.

Gimme a break! Sarah Palin was the least qualified person to be Vice President I have ever seen. She doesn't even know what a VP does! She thought they looked over the Senate! A VP looks over the House of Representatives. Any 8th grader could tell you that! I think that she's what really hurt McCain's chances of becoming President.
Saying she's Presidential material is just absurd!

Am I in the S. Dakota forum or the San Francisco forum? Lots of love for our new Marxist socialist leader here. I'm glad this forum doesn't reflect the actual population of your fair state.
Here's an easy summary of what voting 'straight democratic ticket' is going to bring you -
"... Once in the White House, an Obama Administration will claim something to the effect, "The economy is much worse than reported in 2008, we are now looking for massive tax increases for the top 40% of wage earners, not top 2% as pitched on the campaign trail". (Historically, Democrats are notorious about doing this)
Meaning, it won't be the $250K/year crowd. It will be everyone above $60K. Just wait, you'll see. They will also seize control over pensions and 401(k) as a measure to "protect worker's investments" over an unstable and volatile stock market. Nationalization of all retirement savings in a Social Security form. This will have the masses in a roil as this was not the panacea they were pitched in 2008. To prevent risk of civil unrest, FEMA will call for a moratorium on on firearms and ammunition transactions. Look to see double digit unemployment. Further foreclosures. With desperate people comes increased crimes, to the point the government mandates curfews and bans public possession of firearms. Emboldened enemies of America will begin testing a weak, pacifist president. With increasingly lower GDP & GNPs driven by environmentalists refusing to exploit coal, gas and oil, America decays into a third world country. Gutted military spending has our forces rotting with aged equipment. America becomes even more vulnerable to economic attacks by long-time enemies. In desperation, Obama further enacts more Draconian and Marxist structured laws to further control the citizens and prevent full scaled civil war. Continue spiral downward, prepare accordingly.
... Other than that, nothing much will happen"

Intersting... Do you have any sort of evidence or is this conjecture and theory?
