Ha ha! I agree, on the way to drop off my son this morning he was getting the weather ap on his phone and read my KC weather then Tampa weather for the week as we drove by cars in driveways with frost on them. It is amusing that 50 is "cold" I will enjoy that type of winter

sissies? no, no, sure 20's is much colder, but at the same time you don't expect to have 80s in Alaska, Nebraska, DC, NYC at this time of year...we, here do expect that...you have seasons there, we don't, we go from hot to cold almost overnight. No give time like "fall"....

Tampa has a lower level of humidity then the majority of the rest of the country at 49.

right now, southern Arizona is the ONLY dryer spot in the US then the tampa bay area, with a relative humidity of 38.

This is not neccessarily uncommon. Many people dont realize that the humidity here is NOT the worst in the US.

46 is very low. Almost too low. My skin and nose are pretty dry today.

Awesome post and map.

Guess that will keep the Florida nay sayers quiet for a few days.

Very interesting humidity map, Craig...thanks for sharing. I thought it was higher in Florida always.

I guess I'm a sissy. My fingers, toes, and nose have been cold since last night. Got the electric blanket out to warm the bed last night, too. I hated getting under cold covers as a kid.

I'm not complaining though. A friend of mine in Chicago said it was 14 degrees there and a wind chill at -1.

Thanks for posting this. People seem to think Florida's humidity is always higher than the rest of the country. In the winter it changes, and the north is more humid. Why do you think when it dips below freezing here it rarely snows? Because there is very little water in the atmosphere... duh. One thing I love about the weather here is its dry in the winter.

Hey FloridaKash, you can find some kids' pants on sale at Kohl's. I was just there yesterday.

I lived in New England and Kentucky before I moved here 17 years ago. When I first moved here I didn't think the winters were very cold . . . now I am a just like any other Floridian . . . I am wearing two shirts today just to stay warm lol! Although I have to say I was enjoying the pics of up North with all that snow and very happy in the knowledge that no matter how cold it gets, I won't be digging my car out from under 10 inches of snow!
