I loved the storms for two reasons. 1) Because I love thunderstorms. 2) Because someone said there was no way we can get any rain any time soon and then POOF......there it is......LOL! This is why I never battle with this person anymore, as all anyone has to do is read the posts. It's simply that easy....LOL!

No wonder i keep poking the vodoo doll in the back. Did i not say a upper level impulse was the reason for the rain? The axis of the high was pushed to our south allowing lift. As anyone can see on the radar most of south FL got nothing meaning the high was pushed a little to the south. This little man wished he knew anything about our weather plus he keeps egging me on and he knows it.

Once the high moves back to the north it's back to normal and dry.

Yes, well, we're just about to get whacked down here in South Hillsborough. First little plaps of rain against the windows, wind picking up and distant thunder, getting closer. Took a look at Klystron and it's almost upon us. From the northwest, moving to the southeast and we're right in the path, looks like. Wonder if we'll see the hail.

Is there any way to tell if there's cold air aloft before the hail hits, other than by information from the weatherman?

No, as you can't feel it on the surface. Best to watch the weather and radar.

They can die out at the blink of a eye or miss ya. I get very little rain during the summer as 9 out of 10 times T storms miss my house.

Storms moving well south of us, further south in Florida. Almost to Venice. Probably won't keep the strength up, now that the sun has set.

Since the back door front is moving south they also will get a little rain, but since the energy has started to weaken it won't be like what we saw.

Well, well, well. Second day in a row with thunderstorms. Right now they are in Hillsborough and Pasco counties and moving west with more behind them. Channel 10 has much of this week now at 40% to 60% chance of storms each day.

Now exactly who was it that claimed we would not be seeing any rain? LOL!

The internet is forever. That is nice.
