I sure hated my C6 Corvette getting wet back in the day.

We are getting another downpour.

Paul Dellegatto says we have entered the thunderstorm season. That is quite different than one way off base guess that we won't see rain for a long time to come.

Pinch me. There's actually a very slightly cool breeze here today.

The breeze is what makes all the difference. That is one of several reasons why we decided to move to the gulf coastal town of Palm Harbor.

Wow! Day 4 in a row of thunderstorms rolling in now. Not quite the dry period someone predicted.

Yeah, I've had enough already...it has been coming right as I plan to grill on my *uncovered* patio!

Prius, to be fair, this is usually the "dry" season here in Florida. It might well be the El Nino influence, but in the past, there have been some really nasty April/May, even the beginning of June where it's just hot and semi-dry with a milky sky and the stench of wildfires and muck fires. Not to mention closures on 1-75 when the fires get too close and the smoke reduces visibility. When they had that fire up in Hudson a few weeks back, I was thinking "oh, boy, here it comes". I'd say we're pretty darned lucky to be getting this rain.

And with the way the Tampa Bay area has massively developed, we'd better pray this sort of weather pattern continues, because it could get really ugly if it doesn't. Don't think it can't happen. You never know, we could just be having a little bit of luck right now and all of a sudden June dries up and a subdivision or two ends up in harm's way.

Oh, I agree with you. Last year I was just waiting day by day into mid June for the rainy/thunderstorm season. That is why I am so happy about it this year.

With the current weather being what it is, it happens to be pretty ironic.......thus making many of us smile ear to ear.

Seems pretty dry to me. Less rain on avg over the area the last 2 days. Nothing even close to my area.

I only make the point about one person being completely wrong, because this person had just said we would not see this rain based on his current info AND because he likes to belittle other people when it come to weather....and many other things. Your mind is slow jack. I remember last June 1st the area got some heavy rain, even i got around 1.65" on the first and the area did pretty good the first week of June.
