Just a little bit of rain and wind down here. Sky looked pretty nasty, though. All those "torn" gray clouds. One thing about the wind, it was actually almost cold when it blew through.

All that cooler air from the down draft. Rain to my southeast. I just know how it goes most times, nothing.

Exactly, that's what I posted about yesterday. We are lucky to be having this, we've had some dry spring seasons in the past and it's not pretty when the atmosphere is all gray and smoky. We've been lucky to dodge a wildfire season. Wildfires do happen here.

It was bad after a record wet winter of 97-98. It just flooded all winter and then POOF, the rain cut off in Apirl and we had 3 dry years to follow.

At 6:15 PM last night as we walked from our Gulfport home to Pia's Trattoria (5 minute walk), there was a huge dark cloud over our shoulder, some gusty winds and we felt the temperature falling fast. We picked up our pace; when we got to 'restaurant row,' the waitstaffs at all the restaurants were quickly closing table umbrellas and bringing in the outdoor seating. We ducked into Pia's, expecting the skies to open up, big-time. Never happened. It blew right over Gulfport, so another dry day here. We could use some rain!

any runners/joggers out there? I'm struggling w/ my 3-4 mile runs that I try to get through between 8-9 a.m. .....I can't believe what a difference an hour in the day makes - the runs are much easier if I start before 7 a.m...I don't think I'm hydrated enough, most likely, but I can't believe how much difficult running is during the hotter months......read a runners' world article about treadmilling indoors during the summer, but that's kind of boring - but I guess I might have to until November.....or get up at 4-5 a.m. and run before the sun comes up......can't believe it when I see runners out at hot MacDill AFB at midday, running around the base.....and these are some oldtimers, out of shape looking folks, not the Special Ops sort of folks.
