Well, I cheated and tried to look it up and I'm still not sure. Since no one else has answered the question, I guess we'll have to give you a "win" on that one.

To keep the game going . . .

What naval commander from Tennessee was the first admiral in the history of the US Navy? And in which war did he participate? Extra credit for the famous command he gave.

That would be David Farragut and the Civil War. He said, "Damn the torpedos! Full speed ahead."

(Of course, some folks do consider him a Yankee, since he fought for the "other side.")

Easy for me, because I live right there. But I'll still take the extra credit.

Well, we don't have a question up . . . so I'll ask one.

Highway 12 between Ashland City and Clarksville is named for someone. Who and why is that particular road named for the person?

In Memphis, it is a law that if a woman is driving a car, a man must be walking in front of her, waving his arms...to warn other motorists and pedestrians. In the state of Tennessee, it is illegal to drive while asleep. Now, it is illegal to sale what in the state of Tennessee on Sunday?

I know, but I'll let others have the fun.

Hint: Remember the Oscar Mayer song.

Lady Vols Coach Pat Summitt, who grew up in Henrietta, which is that itty bitty little town between Ashland City and Clarksville.

Along the same lines, part of Hwy 79 in Clarksville is named for an Olympic athlete. Who is it?

I don't have a question and it's getting too late to think of one. Brain must sleep first.

What one-time resident of Maryville later became a state governor and then president of a foreign country?
