"ABC Airlines, would you rather spend 4 hours with the in-laws?"

I'd rather have a root canal than fly a discount airline. Nice, comfy, fully-reclinable seat and you're anaesthetized.

I hated it. I flew several times to Florida for work, they paid so I went. Seems like everything goes through Atlanta, which was no picnic. Its so big, by the time I got from one end to the other to catch my flight, I barely made it to board. Flying was the most uncomfortable feeling I think I have ever had. Knowing you could die at the hands of some one that may have been at the bar before getting on board to fly the plane. I was into skydiving a few years before this, that I felt safe doing.

Actually, I enjoy flying.

I get to the airport about two hours before the flight and security takes about 10 minutes. I get my coffee and surf the internet. When they call for boarding, I get in my preassigned place in line and wait for about five minutes to board the plane.

Once on board, I break out my Chromebook, plug in my headphones, and watch a recent movie over the Southwest Wifi for the four hour flight. It sure beats driving for a full three days to get back to the Midwest.

Years ago I enjoyed flying. Not so much now. We have relatives to visit in Southeast Asia. Retired and on a limited budget. Our price range is economy class. Those 20 hour flights are torture. Takes several days to recover from jet lag. Might splurge on first or business class just once.

I like flying more with free internet (something I do not have at home... ANY internet!.

Flying at the moment (as usual, when catching up on C-D).

Yes... love to fly (tho TSA pre was closed tonight (as usual) , so they sorted ALL my food stuffs and all my gear had to come out of the carry-ons. (I ONLY use carry-ons, even when away from home for 1 yr (USA election yrs)).

Seems (rhetoric) it may be about time to leave the USA as soon as I finish my "State Fair Tour" in August.

I can tolerate flying far more than a 30 second political ad.

Agreed...there is nothing better than a static take off or landing in some questionable weather.

Personally, I still love flying.

Used to love flying. I still enjoy being on an airplane, but I hate flying on commercial airlines with a passion. I usually just drive unless the trip is more than 1500 miles. As they make flying more and more miserable, that number is continually increasing it seems. I agree. At this point a root canal is preferable. I put flying on the level of a prostrate biopsy for an equally hated process. I will do it only if I am convinced it is absolutely unequivocally 100% necessary.
