I am a HUGE Stern fan and cannot wait to see the show. I have not watched much of this in the past. His honesty, quick wit and overall personality will be refreshing to see. I am exicted to see if the viewers give him a chance to see how awesome he is and not go into it with the pre conceived "Shock Jock" persona that many have.
I saw on tv yesterday that he was going to be a judge. My first thought-you have to be kidding! I'm not a Stern fan but, I think you're right. With his "honesty, quick wit" it should make for an interesting show this season.
If people would spend the time and give him a chance they will see that he is about 10% "strippers and porn stars" the rest he does MUCH better interviews than anyone like Barbara Walters, Oprah etc...because he isn't afraid to ask the questions that people want to know about.
He will bring an honesty to the show that will take it to the next level.
Howard is awesome! I have never watched the show, but now I will. He is very funny and very honest and won't go for that stupid awful crap that has kept me not watching the show. People need to give him a chance. He is a very stand-up guy and has a good heart.

I can't wait!
Come on!! How low are you going to set the bar? Barbara Walters, Oprah, etc...?
I'm far from a Stern fan, but I will watch and give him a chance. I realy don't expect much, but they must see something in him...
Some of the judges they have now were scraping the bottom of the barrel..
I don't see his brand of humor or blunt honesty being good for this type of show, one that is supposed to be family friendly, network. Perhaps if it were cable and late night it might work. However, I cannot imagine him toning his vocab or innuendos down and he will definitely need to do so.
Blah....blah....blah...
That's all I hear when people trash Stern.
You think you know better than those high paid TV execs that offered him the job?
They know what they're doing.
Like him or not, your LYING when you say you wont watch.
If nothing more than the first few episodes just to see.
YOUR GONNA WATCH.
....and that's all they need.
This is the best news for us Stern fans.
I simply cannot wait.
I don't know what's gonna be better---him on that TV show, or him on his show TALKING about the TV show!!

Don't you actually have to have talent to be able to judge talent? I doubt he'd know talent if he fell over it. Quick wit does is not the same as talent.
