I'm rather embaressed to say I sat thru 2 hours of this show tonight.My faves were Ray, Stephanie, Austin and Mathew and Caroline Jackie (16 yr old) was not good, she just got lucky that Anthony was worse.
I just saw Tuesday nights show as I could not stay up that late. Was disappointed that Adam picked Preston over Lena. I thought Lena was much better. Preston is boring to me. Many performances were not good, won't go into that, as most of them are now gone thankfully.
I think Christina has the strongest team. I like on Blake's team Cole, Nic and Austin. Tamara is strong on CeeLo's team. I still really like Tessanne on Adam's team but once he starts picking their songs they usually go down in flames. Matthew on Christina's team is probably the strongest singer of all four teams, IMHO.
I know some of you like Shelbie but I really know country music well and I think she does have personality and sass, but her voice is very average for country music. I ike Olivia better on Team Christina for country music. But I don't think either one of them will make it to the finals. We will see last year was certainly very country!
Last year the Swon Brothers did not start off strong and ended up third so it will be who improves the most that lasts and hopefully Adam does not mess up with bad song choices.
I know I'm late to the party for night 2 of the knockouts, but:
1. I'm glad that Juhi is gone (though James didn't deliver on More than a Feeling...but the iTunes version is awesome, so maybe it was just nerves?)
2. I don't think Stephanie Anne Jonson deserved a second steal. (she should have taken Lina back instead)
3. I didn't like Matthew's song, but maybe it is because I think Florence and the Machine is a bunch of hot air.
4. Will once again destroyed his competition and yet had to be "stolen/saved"
5. I'm not really excited for the live shows, but I guess I'll continue to watch it.
Juhi was so bad that I fast forwarded during her song, I can't handle her voice or her style.
I agree about Lina, I wish she would have stayed and Christina would have saved her. I think Stephanie Anne Jonson did OK not great and she was saved not due to her voice but due to "Grandma" and the fact that Christina likes her.
I did not like Matthew's song either but I do love his voice and think he can sing anything and right now feel he is the front runner.
I am hoping the live shows do pick up like they did last season and there were major improvements with the ones that made top 5, we will see. I am still enjoying it, and most of the bad singers have been weeded out. Especially Juhi, she was the one I could not stand from day one, she and Brianna.
I so disagree about Lina/Stephanie and glad they chose Steph. This lady is heart and talent, she has depth, whereas singers like Lina are more common imo. I love Stephanie, her simplicity and genuine quality. My mouth dropped when she sang "Don't Know Why", it was so beautiful. She is a beautiful person inside n out.
I can't wait to see what she will do next.
Didn't like Mathews song either, but the man has a powerful voice and amazing control.
I think Blake was right when he said Ray could win this, he's fabulous.
I don't get it for 2 more hours! I'm glad to hear Austin did good.
