Please explain how that's manipulative?

Laying on a guilt trip.

What would have been the "correct" thing for her to say? Seems like she was in a no-win situation. If she insisted on support from him, people would accuse her of trying to entrap him. If she says she's not expecting anything from him, people accuse her of trying to guilt trip him to entrap him.

What if she genuinely meant that she didn't expect anything from him; no guilt intended. Is there any way that you would have believed it?

Nope.

About last night's episode:
Spoiler
I liked the episode but couldn't figure out the storyline about the video calling until the thing at the end. I kept thinking maybe Miguel's back story is way more interesting than I thought?

Guys, you don't have to see it as I saw it. But that's how I saw it.

Interesting, I didn’t see her manipulative or needy at all! I love how people can watch a show and have a different view. Makes for a great discussion!

I loved this week's show. I loved
Spoiler
how they tied in the invention of the video phone call to all the video/Facetime/Zoom that was going on between the new parents and Rebecca and Miguel. Great history lesson!

I also love the
Spoiler
name Nicky for the boy. Not so good on Frances.

I think it's interesting that the twins are a girl/boy like Kate and Kevin, and that the adopted triplet (if you will as she was born on the same day) is a girl whereas Randall was a boy. Kate called them the The Big Three again. I wonder if they'll grow up close like the Original Big Three did. Do we know if Kevin and Madison stay together? Anyway, it was a good episode.

Agree! Think sometimes it's a carry over from someone people know in their life that has a similar personality
