The funny thing is even with these sometimes repetitive plots, TBBT is so far out in front of all other sitcoms in the ratings that it is almost supernatural. Modern Family took a serious nosedive this year, even dropping as low as 2.8 in the 18-49 demographic. Two and a Half Men dropped so badly, that most people are assuming a 13 episode send off next year. Sitcoms like "The Mindy Project" are being renewed with very low ratings.
Only "The Millers" which is on directly after TBBT is doing extremely well.
I would be shocked if the principal actors are not paid a million dollars an episode from here on out.
