Care to explain?

Appears to say more about Scots poor manners than anything. At least as head of state she was shown a litle more respect by Scotlands future citizens....."Yesterday's event was held to mark the official anniversary of the Scottish parliament and was attended by children who were born on July 1, 1999. Heaping even further embarrassment on the politicians, 143 of the 163 children born in Scotland that day turned up for the celebrations."

There are a lot of MP's that refuse to attend the opening of parliament each year too.

How can you lump us all (Scotland's people) as having bad manners based on 30 people?!

Seems a bit of a generalization than anything. A bit extreme to judge purely on one instance and using politicians too.

Thats like me saying all the English are greedy because of the MPs expense scandals

Your representatives, by their actions, said everything....When it comes to expense scandals, take a look at how many of them claimed for wreaths to lay at the service in November...It has been banned at Westminster since 2004....It didn`t stop the Scots..15, yes 15, claimed £17.50...SHAME!!!!!!!!

And what about the amount of MPs claiming for such trivial things in Westminster, hmmm?

Forget about that one?

Just because those MSPs did not attend does not mean the whole of Scotland has bad manners, like i said previously about the expense scandals - just because those MPs and even Gordon Brown claimed taxpayers money doesn't mean the whole of England is a greedy nation.

Perhaps you 2 should just agree to meet somewhere along Hadrian's Wall and bash it out?
