Oxon Hill Target to open on October 20. Also, looks like retail bays are being constructed in front of the oxford apartments. Any idea what retailer is lined up?

I'm not sure which retailer but it will be a gas station according to the county planning site. Will be nice to have a filling station on that side of the road.

I stopped at Target the other day, I was thinking it would be small store but it is a decent size, of course It's not big as super target,

National Harbor Beltway Plaza - Parking garage and hotel

National Harbor is in the process of getting approval to build a 7-story parking garage with 2,476 parking spaces and an 8-story, 150-room hotel on Parcel 7.

I'm glad to see National Harbor developing. However, I just don't see why there is such an excess for hotels in that area. Are they really that in-demand? More office, housing, etc would better help keep foot traffic in National Harbor up year round. But then again, if the demand is there for more hotel units in the area then build it. I just think its excessive. The Gaylord, MGM Hotel, Westin, Hampton Inn, Residence Inn, and AC Hotel.

There was rumor of a Ritz Carlton coming to National Harbor a while back. This may be it. Unless it will be an extension of the MGM casino hotel.

At first, Looking at the renderings it does look to be an extension of MGM, however I think it may be a separate brand because the garage is the only thing connected to the MGM with the pedestrian bridge. My thinking is that this will be a budget friendly hotel for those who cannot afford the prices of the MGM Hotel.

I believe that was supposed to sit up atop the hill of MGM closer to where the Royal Farms and in between the casino and Oxon Hill Rd. There used to be a cemetery there, no?

This appears to be at the bottom side of the casino down the hill in the gravel/parking area, and closer to NH waterfront.
