As for gangs, some of which exist in just about every urban, suburban, and even rural area, the most notorious is certainly MS-13. There are also Asian gangs of various sorts. How much crime to believe they are actually responsible for is debatable, but it is certainly some...

Yeah, block crews. Three guys in the 7th grade with a MySpace page. R.I.P. Hol-Roid. Used to be the fourth guy, but he flunked history so his Mom makes him come straight home after school now...

The MS-13 hype is a bit overblown. Not every five Latin young males hanging out together makes a MS-13 cell like Fox news tells us.

No question. But from what gangs there actually are in the DC area, MS-13 certainly is the most notorious, even if the part of that notoriety that's derived from Fox News is -- like most of the rest of the stuff that they put out -- bogus...

That would be interesting to know more about that. Who are in those gangs? All 0.7% of DC's Chineese?

+1 to Democrats and Republicans. Dangerous and most violent groups they are.

Just the facts. Murder and overall crime are two very different things. 2005 overall crimes in Austin TX per 100K of population were 6,502. In DC, the number was 5,979. Which one is lower?

Surely you are aware that China is not the only country in Asia. Asians were easily the fastest growing demographic group in DC between 2000 and 2005, now comprising about 4% of the population in the city proper. The nearby suburbs are meanwhile at double and triple that.
