I would look at remote areas of Nevada. Only two metro areas in the state and a ton of open land. Washington is one of the fastest growing states.

True, although the people who live in Langley on South Whidbey don’t seem to be affected or complain about the flight path.

Just stay clear of those UFO flight paths.

Not anywhere around Fallon, Nevada Air Fir e Base. We were off Highway 50 up a gravel road on public lands west of Mount Airy Summit. KABOOM!!!!!! at around 10am. We thought someone set off a cannon. When they broke the sound barrier, it shook our truck camper.

As far as Washington, the area east of highway 97 and north of highway 20 is quiet. You are next to the North Cascades wilderness area to the west. So, your best bet is to be hiking in that area.

Also, the areas around Republic, Metaline Falls, and other towns that are not dependent upon agriculture are quiet in our experience.

It can be pretty quiet up around Winthrop.

Do your research. I would look at Republic, WA area.
This is true, our house is directly in a flight path. Military helicopter's and planes frequently fly over. The sound of trains carries well, so does traffic on I 5. Motorcycles and trucks rumble past on the nearby roads at all hours. Dogs barking and human voices carry well, even though we have acres of nearby farmland.

If it's quiet you want, do your research.

One of the most remote and quiet areas of Wa is near the Ocean community of Long Beach Wa. As you leave town going north on 101 you very shortly come to the place known as middle Nemah, low lands, grassy valleys amid waterways and the Nemah river estuaries. I've hiked around that area for decades and always noted the peaceful surroundings and the almost eerie quietness.

It's all that probing that keeps me out.
