Our New Year's Eve forecast sounds terrific:

Fri 31st: Sunny, Min 20C, Max 27C
Sat 1st: Sunny, Min 19C, Max 31C

We've found a nice spot in a secluded cove overlooking the harbour but I imagine with the popularity here of New Years's Eve it may require getting there early and plenty of SPF 30!

A prediction of a balmy 5C/2C on Friday, and 4C/4C on New Year's now.

Grrr! You have such enviable weather! I would've thought you'd get a good soaking in central NSW seeing how it's been in Brisbane, but no.

Our forecast has been steadily improving. We're now looking at 13 / 23 and 14 / 23 (warm by my standards).

I would consider that warm too;
just I would have to be open-minded enough to not remember it's summer.
Any season other than summer I'd be very pleased with that forecast.

I suppose I've been spoiled by memories lengthy spells of sultry weather, both in Canada and on vacations.

For Corvallis and the rest of western Oregon:
Looks like the precip will let up a bit. The NWS is predicting only showers and if the timing's right we will miss any downpours during the New Year's eve festivities. The down side to this relatively cheery forecast is what showers as do occur are apt to be snow.

My, it looks like the forecast is getting milder and milder since I first posted.

For New Year's eve its a chance of showers at 7C/4C (45F/39F), and on the first day of 2011 it's rain at 9C/6C (48F/43F).
