Those could easily be summer temperatures here in Ontario.
In fact, this morning the low was 45 degrees, and it's the first of July...

I'm ecstatic to be here after hearing that.

Chilly temperatures are supposed to be strange here from Nov-Mar; nearly 6 months.

That's actually quite bad...

Most mornings this week have not been below 48/9 C.
Most days reach 64-68 F/18-20 C.
I think the coldest morning I've seen here was either 38 F/3 C or 42 F/5 C
and the coolest day maybe 59 F/15 C.
My neighbourhood had hibiscus shrubs in full bloom last week.

Where are you now? Perth?

Edit: Oh, Australind, so a little south of Perth. Does the rain bother you at all? From the averages it looks very rainy in winter.

Last week in particular was very wet.
Just about every day has had some rain for the 3 weeks I've been here.

The rain here is a minor nuisance.
Except for one rainy day we had, (that day was downright foul )
the rain always "comes and goes", usually with at least a small bit of sunshine mixed in.
Often I see clouds with obvious vertical patterns, like stalactites.
Rainbows almost every rainy day here too.

Back in Toronto, a rainy day typically means just that;
write-off for sunshine, misty or raining for most of the day.

My preference would probably be for the east coast (although I'm undecided) climates like Brisbane since the rain occurs mostly during the warmer part of the year when it is more welcome.

But frequent sun showers do sound nice -- all those rainbows!

Brisbane?!?
Ugh... it's ALWAYS raining there.
They must have had 120+ days of rain so far this year, and it's barely July!

Wow! Frequent rainbows are awesome! Here in NE Wisconsin lucky to see one or two a summer!

They were pretty wet in January but they barely got 10 mm last month: Brisbane, Qld - June 2011 - Daily Weather Observations (http://www.bom.gov.au/climate/dwo/201106/html/IDCJDW4019.201106.shtml - broken link)

Edit: Wow, they had a high of only 12.6 C one day last month! That's Christchurch-like.

Even in its dullest year it would beat Canadian locations for sunshine!

Maybe Toronto...

We have our sunshine skewed to favour summer, when the daylight hours are also very long.
I suspect a sunny year on the Prairies could top Brisbane's sun, but with air temps 20+ C colder... who cares?

Brisbane's lowest sunshine total in the period 1976-2006 was over 2720 hours, so that would still be a stretch for the Prairies I think.
