First week of July last year had an average high of 37C....

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

19C in downtown just slightly better at both Chicago airports both reporting 23C at this hour. This isn't summer this is May!

Record cool in the middle of the US and Texas, of course the media attention is in the heat out in the desert

Much of Europe looks to be getting a cool July too if the long range models are to be trusted. 45 day models not looking good at all for warm weather fans

Days above 80° so far for these locations compared to last year. You might be surprised at some.

I'd be happy to trade. The mugginess is annoying.

Back to normal by the end of the week

Let's hope we get a good Midwest hot spell this July.

Maybe we can repeat 1955... Started off on a cool note that June, but then thing got pretty toasty!

Or maybe we will have a cool July as well like it was in 1947, but then August was steamy.

While the humidity isn't my ideal, riding my bicycle in warm rain this morning was fun. I'd like to ride through a tropical downpour once (dunno, 80°F with dewpoint of 76°F?). Followed by a swim at the beach.

Tell me about it.

My tools are rusting up, mold and mildew are appearing fast. Garage floor damp. Pure nasty.

Temp: 72°
Dewpoint: 71.8°
Humidity: 98%
Wind: 2mph (thats the kller. At least give me some wind! )

I'm kissing the floor temps arent in the 80s or 90s but I'm still VERY uncomfortable and cant be my active self.
