What the heck is going on this year.

Noticeable difference of the Hot & Sweet Pepper growth compared to previous yrs this time.

I don't see getting peppers this year at this pace. Even last year plants were taller and bushier at this point. wow

Clouds, Cool, Rain, Wind.. only a few heat days and countable sunny days. Look at my peppers this year. They are a twig still.

Working in a neighboring town New Canaan this afternoon I was making a turn here and came across some good photo opps. Just had my phone camera with me.

Part of the Silvermine River
https://www.google.com/maps/@41.1982...rw!2e0!6m1!1e1

Can't tell in the pics but everything was wet and air was humid. Quiet area with crickets and birds and the occasional vehicle

Lets hope they don't tear this abandoned home down and put up condo complex or a building.

Must be vacant for couple years for the weeds to overtake the property like this. That's an island there which I assume used to be grass only with a couple shrubs. Maybe I'll bring my bed there and claim it. LOL!!

Sun to darkness(by clouds), to distant thunder, to loud deep thunder and lightning, to rain. Thunder let up but then I hear it again East of me. So it pulsed right over me.

I LOVE hearing the rain move in from the distant. It sounds like wind as it hits the trees and moves in.

Too lazy to drive out for better view. Might of been a good one. Oh well

Moving Left to right.

I have a cousin who lives in New Canaan.

Actually the photos do look very moist and alive to me. Delightful.

Cool! Not far from me at all.

That's it. Took matters in my own hand. Was out there without an umbrella getting soaked. Felt good with temps in the 60s. lol

Covered the still small pepper plants. I Usually do this for cold air, not rain, but enough is enough now.

If we had sun or wind in between its fine but I don't remember the sun for more than 3 hours in like a week now. lol We need the soil to dry out now.

Clear blue sky. 0% cloud cover. Nice and warm under intense sunlight but cool under the shades.

When do you normally begin to harvest peppers?
