Forgot to comment on this. What the? You trying to beat the system? May (Mothers Day usually) is when its safe outside but even still if we don't get frost, Peppers especially HATES 40s and 50s temps and prefer 80s/90s during the day. Do you have a greenhouse?

Current Alerts map. I'll update when they extend the freeze & frost alerts.

Saw some graupel falling at times. Not sleet, not snow. Fluffy pellets.

Radar Loop mid morning. Not uncommon but we dont see this every year at the end of April.

Bet you the Litchfield hills of CT are seeing snow showers.

^^ TWC is predicting 96 F on Sunday for my suburb. We normally don't even see that in July.

Under this same pattern in July/August, I imagine we would be hitting 100 F or even 103 F or so. It was 102 F here on June 22, 2009 (though MIA and FTL both "only" reached 99 F and 98 F respectively, I'm more inland however).

I remember that day because it was 100 F with close to 50% humidity...close to a 120 F heat index.

Wow, I thought they'd be fine as long as it didn't go into frost territory, glad you told me before I managed to kill them lol. They along with the tomato will be inside for at least the next two days. The herbs will come inside at night just to be on the safe side. I have a cheap ($20) little greenhouse, but on sunny days it gets entirely too hot (105-115F), and it's only mid-spring.
