Got up to 84F/29C at MDW and 82F/28C at ORD today. Storms missed us. Dew point just missed 70F/21C at the city airports... My suburb did reach a dew point of 71F/22C.... Now at 7PM it's mostly sunny...
Apparently MDW did in fact see it's first 70F/21C dew point of the year
The forecast for Paris looks awesome the whole time I'll be there - maxes ranging from 62 (wow) to 71 (not bad at all), and there's a chance of t-storms on Wednesday, which would be cool to see.
I'm certainly looking forward to putting summer on hold the next week, that's for sure.
Current obs for Atlanta - 67 with a bit of fog, super-humid, of course. Gonna be a bit sticky wearing long pants from here to the airport...lol.
Umm, gross? Those lows for upstate NY would be recording break? Don't you like your plants?
lol. I do my garden to keep me sane otherwise I really think I would need to check myself into the crazy home. I was getting SAD yesterday. (good reason for it... BUGS!)
It's VERY hard for me to drop into the 30s now..But notice even on that map I'm closer to low 40s.
Also... I believe its better for farmers to get freezing temps believe it or not then frost. All they have to do is spray the crop with water and the ice that forms will protect the leaves from the air temp.
Also... how long... A forecast can show 20s but if its only an hour or two it wont have enough time to damage the crop (unless the sensitive ones but those can be covered)
Here's Data for Albany...
Models trended cooler... Remember this post?

That was the 11th of May. 10-12 days later here we are facing a cold shot of air this weekend.

17 degrees In upstate NY but low 30s in northern Ontario/north central Quebec? Where is the cold coming from? You would need quite a strong arctic airmass to bring in temperatures like that in May. I have some trouble believing it will get that cold.
