I put cardboard down to control the weeds and its bio degradable too.

I love the smell of fresh dirt in the hot sun. That's a plus for me in the Spring. Onions are in at the top. Garlic bottom left. Now we sit and wait while everything is growing inside.

Still waiting.

Cold Hardy Holly Tree damaged by the north winds this winter but preserved under the snowpack.




Backyard ones seem to be coming back.. They didn't have the direct NW / N winds though. They had to come back last year but this is a second hard hit.. Poor things. And Rabbits tore these up all winter too.




The Rhododendron might be dead too. Usually perked up by end of March at least.

My friend sent me some pictures of London today.. looked nice! Funnily trees already have a lot of leaves there, compared to here in France where I am still waiting!

Vancouver probably looks like summer as their trees were blooming in January. NYC and DC probably still look like January lol after this winter and spring. Trees around here are around 2-3 weeks behind from what I've read. Worse than last year. Feb and March really did us in.
