Warmest day so far, still a meager 13C/55F. Some areas managed 15C/59F

Pics from Joona Haarala, YLE Turku:

Looks like spring will win this year as well.

Haha 13C sunbathing! We're just as bad when it first reaches 16 or 17C though. I bet the foreign tourists find it hilarious.

Yup. Of course a cloudless sky and absolutely no wind helped too.

I think it's quite natural, after the endless cloud, cold and darkness we endured for 4 months.

I have noticed that the exchange students too hit the barbeque pits and stroll the city en masse these days. They have adapted.

It was a gorgeous day today, blue dome skies and it got up to 15°C. This is the time of year when much warmer than average weather - the new normal - is enjoyable. Dry and pleasantly cool along with first birdsong, scents and flowers. A few weeks early this year due to the inexistent winter but a welcome sight nonetheless.

Nice! Looks a bit similar to here right now. Grass hasn't really greened yet, though. Just checked the window, a lot of the grass is similar to the first picture, light green but not really lush or growing much.

Never turned brown in this part of the world this weak winter.

What an absolute beautiful day.. Blue skies, staying in the low-mid 50s(10-12C), 30mph Wind gusts from the NW feeling like 40s(8C) outside with strong sun.

Got so much done outside today. Including tilling 1 garden bed and planting potatoes.

And Lawn is greening up. Put down crabgrass preventer. Neighbors aren't as green. I think I fertilize too much each year,.. LOL That reminds me.. I gotta lay some Lime down.

No blossoms anywhere yet. Only buds. Watch by next weekend. Buds will be more noticeable and ready to pop open. 60s all week. But dipping to 30s and 40s at night.
