I get it if you want winters cold enought to sustain snow packs without too much refreezing, but I get bothered when people say they actually want the means to be below -10'C, it's not like that's gonna change how snowy lr wintery it feels. It's just gonna bite your face off more quickly.

Hehe I was targeting ya

I just don't understand why living in a crap climate with palm trees is better than living in a good climate for palm trees but every now and then they might be killed off. You will always be able to enjoy palms in Charleston in good weather.

People who want cold in March, April and November, typically found on Netweather. They don't want Spring to act like Spring and warm up, and of course come summer, they're the ones who claim that a cloudy 20c day is a 'fine, dry, warm day', when it's actually cool, cloudy, below average rubbish.

Many more species are not able to be enjoyed in Charleston though- no homemade lemonade for Charlestonians, nor homemade guacamole for flips sake!

Now this is a legitimate reason to not live there.

Everyone around here seems to want the same weather every single day: high 68*F, low 52*F, and brilliant sunshine. Hatred of precipitation is the norm around here, and I've even heard meteorologists get upset about a coming rain system even when our month to date rainfall is just 20% of average.

A lot of people say they like seasons, but they'll be first to complain when it deviates even five degrees from that precious 68/52, or if the cloud cover exceeds 50%.

People also seem to have an extremely short memory when it comes to weather. Let's say it's mid January and the mean temperature is about 18*F, and let's say we're having the biggest heat wave on record: a solid week of means in the 40s and even 50s. Now let's say that after this, we drop down to 32*F and mostly cloudy with a moderate wind. Everyone starts complaining, "Oh, how FRIGID it is! It's like we moved to Alaska or something!!!!!!!1!" This is all in spite of the fact that it's still fourteen degrees above average. Stupid people.

And am I the only one who doesn't get the feeling of a certain cool temperature (say 55*F) being "warm" after several months below that temperature?

Australian Weather Forum/Weatherzone - Victorian section Mk II.

The resident Failbournians/southern Victorians have the coldest and cloudiest climate in Australia with the shortest and coolest summers but are the first ones to ****** the second the weather resembles summer. Then they start with the ridiculous hyperbole about bushfires and "lives at risk" and **** like that. They treat any 30C day as if it's plutonium and rejoice and start jacking off at any sign of a cool change after their 1-day long "normal summer heat every else in Australia" warm wave. Bunch of penis mcghee mongoloids :smack :

Retarded dribble can be found in the Tasmanian forums aswell: http://forum.weatherzone.com.au/ubbt...ie#Post1409285

Why in the world would anyone get upset over someone else's weather preference?
How silly to even have the thought let alone waste the time and energy complaining about it.
Everyone likes what they like, accept it.

I have no problem on here with people having gripes about climates being "boring". This is a weather forum, naturally it attracts people who have an interest in different weather phenomena. It would be incredibly boring if this just became a circle jerk where people simply came here to compliment mild, sunny climates on a daily basis.

That being said, it can be quite annoying when people who are acclimatized to fairly extreme conditions, whether they be hot or cold, mock other people for feeling hot or cold at temperatures that are relatively more mild.
