Mild last day of Febraury. High was 52F here 55F at Midway and 53F officially at ORD.

A few milder days ahead before the bottom drops around mid March. Full scale Arctic invasion beyond the next two weeks. Mark my words.

This weekend the Jet stream digs in the west, that's why we warm up in the east

Mild the next few days could hit 60 degrees a couple times

Cold comes back though in the 10-15 day and will probably hang around for a while as the PV is now expected to split and a lobe of the PV is set to park itself over of the Hudson Bay which should push cold air south into the eastern US

Very very warm here by this weekend with low temperatures of 55-60F. High temperatures could break 73F. Hopefully that doesn't send vegetation to come out too early as I do expect low temperatures back well below 20-25F before the end of March potentially... The Southeast ridge really screws things up here, along with a continuation of more extreme amounts of precipitation coming up again.

Another mild day with temps near 60 degrees away from the lakeshore. A lot colder tomorrow but parts of the area could reach the upper 60s by this weekend as a wet system swings through.

Meteorological winter was a lot sunnier than normal

Look what will set up and force cold air back into the US by next week

Looks more western and central based
