Most common RD charge is- 20MPH over posted speed limit, or in the citing officers opinion if you're driving too fast for the conditions. There are a slew of other things, such as: agressive driving, rapid, multiple lane changes, accidents that can get you an RD.

Make sure you get a court date. You don't want all those points on you.

Sounds like the officer was having a bad day and you got caught in the line of fire. Go to court. Was anyone else with you? Why didn't he want you staying in the parking lot? Doesn't make sense at all.

Sounds like you may need a lawyer but how much will that cost?

Division of Motor Vehicles

hazardous driving and #filename = *.|(htm|,html|,txt|,pdf|) - documents 1 to 10

This is NOT a govt website so don't know if I would 100% rely on the info but may want to check out http://search.dmv.org/dmv/west-virgi...less%20driving

I don't think you need a Lawyer. If your record is clean, that will speak volumes. Tell the Judge you were doing what you were instructed to do, the wheels spun as you were complying with his demand. My bet is it will be dismissed.
Unfortunately, I spend alot of time in traffic courts with my current occupation. Best results come from being polite, honest, and respectful. The Judges have heard all the excuses before, and probably see the officer once a week.

I think you'll be OK.
