I just looked in on the little eagle and it appears as if a limb has blown into the nest and injured it. Momma eagle brought some food and the little guy isn't moving much. Hope I'm wrong but it's been pretty motionless for about 15 minutes now.

I thought for sure snorpus had called it yesterday, baby was warming those wings up with authority.
The tail feathers look awfully short for flight right now. But what do I know...?
Been trying to figure out what the latest meal was, looked like a commercially processed fish filet.

He's flapping his wings as he hops from side to side in the nest... can't be long now.

I've seen them fish for trout at Smoke Hole...at the long river holes.
Rainbow Trout for breakfast is a favorite of many.
This is certainly one, if not the greatest of these West Virginia threads.
