Yes you should have dragged yourself in there... trust me if you are truly sick your co-workers and your boss will see this and they'll give you the green light the get the heck outta there.
Calling in sick less than a week at the new job will get things off to a sour note unfortunately... even with a doctor's note.
a doctors note would cost too much money as I don't have insurance yet. But believe me there is no wayi can be there. I understand that they don't care about my insurance/money situation. This sucks.
Call your boss, explain the situation, tell them you can come in if that's what they think you should do and that you don't want to get anyone else sick. Leave it up to them to decide.

Until evolution grants our bodies the ability not to become infected with viruses and bacteria during the work week, there's not much you can do. Take care of yourself and maybe go to one of those urgent care places in order to get a doctor's note.
If you're let go, take it as the Universe's way of telling you to move on from that job. I know, not easy words to hear in this economy.

This is a great idea. Although I wouldn't put it past an employer to tell him not to come in and then let him go anyway
OK. I called my boss. She seemed understanding but it's hard to tell what she's really thinking. I guess we will see.
