what makes you think that the thread or subject is only of value to the OP? this whole site relies on lots of people reading and commenting, and possibly learning something. Not just the OP.
This ^ . There's a lot of good discussion in this thread. That is why the thread is still open. Someone's membership status or intention has absolutely nothing to do with the topic at hand.
People, remember that calling out a member and repeatedly posting off-topic can earn you hefty infractions.

However, I know a fair number of recent college graduates working fast food jobs who complain that they are making the same as the high school kids working for the summer.
I have a hard time believing this is real as both numbers seem low. OP where are you located? I don’t know many accountants near me who make less than 90. Or receptionists who accept less than 35. But at any rate if she is unhappy she can either negotiate for a higher salary or move on.

This is also why I have no problem with old posts getting resurrected while other people complain about it. The topics are still relevant today.
An accountant making 75k is normal. But 25k is unfairly low even for a receptionist
By whose definition of "unfair"? She agreed to work there for that! If it was between that and NO job, is it still unfair?
