Spanish from Spain is really fast. Strange because they are supposed to have the correct Spanish like Portuguese speaking correct Portuguese than Brasilians. But it seems like they have too many slangs not like how South Americans speak Spanish which is more soft, slow and sweet.
Yeah I've heard the Spanish in the New World is supposed to be 'purer' or closer to original Castillan Spanish. It's kind of like American and British English.
A student from Colombia told me that Castillian Spanish sounded more "medieval" and "classy" to him than the Spanish dialects of Latin America which are also quite "americanized" nowadays and also have their fair share of indigenous words. For instance, the form "vosotros" isn't used at all in L.A. but "ustedes" instead because the first Spanish colonizers and settlers developed their own version of Castillian. Don't know the real historic background, though.

Well I think they all sound pretty different, Essex or Cockney sounds way different to Yorkshire, or something. Cheryl Cole actually sounds quite Welsh to me even though she's Geordie. Welsh does sound pretty distinctive, because English was a second language for most Welsh people until 100 years ago.
But they are close enough to each other. Where as you can't find any linkages with the Welsh accent at all.
I know. Australian women don't sound very feminine, IMO. About as annoying as American women talking in some form of Valley Girl or the Trendy Voice, like oh my GAWWWWD.
That's one reason why Japanese is my favorite Asian language. Doesn't sound like that at all. Actually has a vowel inventory identical to Spanish, I call it "If Spanish was an Asian language".
Yep, Japanese and Spanish have the exact same vowel sounds. If you can pronounce one, the other is easy.
The most annoying sounding language is english when people refer to locations in the possessive when they are really clearly not meant to be.
"I'm going to East Side's/Wal-Mart's/whatever"
