Madrid is beautiful, as is Veracruz, Mx., Brussels is also nice- in spite of the rumor that it was named after the sprouts.
When I was there, Paris was dirty, smelly and rude, the Paris-ites seemed to consider rudeness as an art form,---- I disagree, but a lot of Paris was disagreeable.

Over all, I suspect the ugliest city on the planet is Lagos, Nigeria---were it not for the garbage mounds there would be no scenery. It almost makes Paris seem pleasant.
