This is another in-tack structure.....like the Parthenon.
Do they mean the Parthenon is tacky? What do tacks have to do with the Parthenon? Note that they even took the time and effort to hyphenate the "word."
A man posted the following tale of woe in the Car Talk forum:
"I took it in to a mechanics shop that I new...He said it was very dirty and gross in side my block and other placed...Normally it would jolt forward because it had a quick acceleration and I learned to control it well but now it has a fixes slow start no matter how hard or far I push down on the gas? Its alot easier and smother to change gears because before I would seem my passengers gerk when I changed geara but I did see them do it this time...It felt like a sport car before and now it feels like it drives like I'm a old nerves lady. Does any one now or get what could be happening?"
"Ok, to make YOU feel better, if he's disposed for civil charges, which thete are, he can take the 5th ammenment." - someone who fancies herself a lawyer, I guess?
Two years ago, I received an official form from my town's public works department. In somewhat prominent places the word PERMANATLY is printed. Farther down on the paper is: PERMANANT. Following my typical behavior when I sent in the filled out form, I corrected the misspelled words. There is no way my red marks could be missed. In today's mail, I see nothing has changed. The department must have had a huge number of copies available and didn't want them to go to waste since the old way is still in use.
