Like I said I herd my parents say to us kids you don't know how lucky you are to live in a time when you have the programs that are in place today,because we had nothing or no buddy to take of us.
That's sad when someone has no buddy. And I wonder what type of animal his parents were.
I used to feel so very alone in my, "I can't take it anymore" feelings.

And now, for today's contribution to the language from the daily newspaper!
The campaign manager for Senator Cory Booker, in the course of discussing Booker's opponent, is quoted as saying, "...and that position represents one of the major tenements of his platform".
Whether that statement was given to the newspaper in writing, or whether it was given verbally and was mangled by a reporter, the very fact that it got into print is...disturbing.

Well. When your opponent's a slumlord, the election's pretty much in the bag.
Since a tenement barely meets minimum requirements, perhaps it describes the senator's platform.
