Mortgage rates continued to be pressured higher yesterday and this morning as market participants await the employment data. All lenders did reprice for the worse as mortgage backed securities fell for the third consecutive day.

Enough about yesterday. This morning the Department of Labor released the Employment Situation report. This data is the single most important economic report released on a monthly basis. Higher unemployment leads to less consumer spending which benefits low...
