Why do southerner's expect other people to conform to their ways of life?

I lived in Georgia for 7 years and have mixed emotions. My hubbie is Atl born and raised and wants to move back. I am having a hard time deciding, being that I had several problems there. It seems to me that southerner's are not very accepting of northerner's or any one whom is different from them. It's like if you don't go along with their way, it's the highway. I came to Georgia with alot, and left with nothing. Some people think I am stupid for even considering going back. I enjoyed the culture...

We had quite a volatile day yesterday as mortgage backed securities went on a bumpy ride moving lower early in the day but managed to climb higher by day’s end closing just below opening levels. Many lenders did reprice for the worse hedging that the losses would continue throughout the entire day.
