Time for a NEW Attitude

Posted 08-03-2009 at 03:31 AM by LookinForMayberry

All this mindfullness has made me aware that I've been spending too much time in my head, "navel-gazing" and dwelling on what I don't have in my life, at present.

Bottom line: I've got too many good things going in my life to take time for that nonsense.
  • I'm healthy, in spite of my age and weight; no prescriptions, and other than troubles with my lower half, I am in great shape.
  • I've got a great husband that loves me and is willing to accommodate my shenanigans

A better Google than...well...Google :)...

Posted 08-02-2009 at 03:07 PM by carlos123 (My Daily Life and Thoughts while in San Diego)

Oftentimes I get frustrated with searches I do on Google. Many searches produce tons of pages that have either nothing to do with the subject I am looking to find out about or the pages that show up, while being somewhat relevant, are not very in depth or otherwise useful.

So...I have to keep refining the search using search tricks to produce more relevant search results (such as adding "- something" to the search phrase to weed out search results that show up that I have...

and I'm already gone...

Posted 08-02-2009 at 06:59 AM by LookinForMayberry

The decision to live mindfully isn't coming easy for me, but I am committed to the concept. I'm trying to encourage myself on my small progressive steps, despite my continual failures. One moment I am IN the moment, and then before I know it I find I am already gone...

Somewhere, I gathered that the practice is like learning to ride a bike. Having never been well coordinated, this was an especially difficult pursuit for me, at the age of eight. My later attempts at roller-blading...

Need rural rental with some acreage in western oregon

Senior relocating to Oregon as soon as May 1, 2010. Need 2 to 5 acres with house in rural area, however, not too far from a main city. Would welcome tips on the best places to look. I have outside pets. Can pay 1,000 to 1200 dollars rent. An ideal arrangment would be a lease option, as I plan to buy in Oregon as soon as my land sells. I have good references, and am a licensed health care professional.
