Eventuallly drifted into Colorado,(not in the kayak!) stayed a few days in Pagosa Springs, before choosing an affordable RV site near Farmington, NM. I'll be here for a month, simply because of the price.
Farmington is based around gas & oil drilling. I'm in Aztec, a small suberb.

Afraid to dream

Posted 08-01-2009 at 11:03 AM by maybenow

Yes,sometimes I am afraid to dream. Why? because I don't follow through on them. Maybe I don't have the faith in myself, I have good ideas but don't carry them out. For the most part I don't even try anymore. So when I feel good, hopeful,I sometimes shut it out, because I know from the past, most likely I won't do anything about it. I know that is not the thing to do,but this is me,I must change.

This breaks the old hottest month on record which was August 2006 at 88.3 degrees F. There is no doubt that the summer of 2009 is the hottest one on record so far.

Rainfall continued to be calm in July 2009. Only .48 inches fell the entire month. A stark contrast to the past two Julys of 07 and 08. We are...

Living Mindfully, Together

Posted 08-01-2009 at 03:57 AM by LookinForMayberry

Yesterday morning, my husband and I began listening to "Mindful Living" together. After completing the first part, we decided we would begin our mindful practice. We're taking small steps, like doing only ONE THING AT A TIME, and PAYING ATTENTION.

Already, there is progress.

I'm seeing more, while out for my walk.

I am hearing more, when...
