When you think of summer food, oftentimes, you typically think of a charbroiled beef patty sizzling over an open flame. And that sounds pretty good when I am thinking about it, be it on a toasted hamburger bun with mustard, or all by itself with a heaping scoop of onion and mushroom gravy.

But summer is also the season for all things chilled, too. Such was the case when I got three things from Market Street that intrigue me. They just taste really good together...

Mortgage Rates Take a Step Back As the Battle Continues

Mortgage backed securities lost all of the gains they enjoyed on Monday as the stock market rebounded. To remind readers, as MBS move higher in price it allows for lenders to pass along lower mortgage rates but as MBS move lower in price it forces lenders to pass along higher mortgage rates. On Monday, the stock market posted a large decline which allowed investor money to flow into the safety of MBS and treasuries pushing the prices of these securities higher. Yesterday as the stock market rebounded...

No sooner did I grasp the expectation of getting my puppy on Sunday, when the "rug" of reality tripped me up. Unexpected circumstances moved out the transport, now at least another week.

Ommmmmmmmm.........

Where ARE we, again?

One of the drawbacks of trying to tour the entire country in two years is that I am constantly trying to recall where we were, when... or where we ARE, now. The disorientation from this almost constant unknowing is probably what has led me to so many of the spiritual epiphanies I've experienced. Lord, help me stay attuned!

We've been camped here since yesterday afternoon, and I only just now learned that we are in Lockport, NOT Cambria (as I'd thought). In fact, Weather.com...
