Well I guess he should've taken the C drum (100 rounds) & filled it with hollow points.

Well I would be shooting frangible ammo, but we really want to see how effective the suppressor is.

Using hollow points, you'll be lucky if 10 out of 100 get thru the skin of a brownie.

Yeah, probably would've been a half-empty 50 round drum and a blood trail leading away.

Well I suppose if you take in the fact that when you are with a group of people that are much faster than you in running and you run into a really big bear, and you have a small caliber pistol, it would be more effective to shoot a faster person in the knee as they ran past you so they would be the slowest in the group for the bear to catch first......

I do recall though that some folks have in fact taken too small of a gun to the woods and had the bear take it from them and stick it up where the sun don't shine, that is why you want to take the sights off the smaller calibers so it don't hurt so badly...

This photo was of a guide on Kodiak Island in the late '50's to early 60's that found the gun and skulls on the beach, clearly it was a case of the gun not being big enough....

Not necessarily was it too small a gun. Often there just isn't time to get a gun into action.

A rifle is even harder to get into action than a handgun, esp if the bear is chewing on you already.

There have been numerous cases of people being attacked by bears before they can get a shot off. Sometimes their gun is not in hand, leaning against a tree while they skin a moose or deer for example.
