on the same token, it sure is annoying when cobb county shoves it in all of our faces whenever they get a new employer and act like it's the detriment to the rest of us that 'alliance condoms and elastic, LLC' chose cobb county for their corporate headquarters.

as for growth in cherokee and forsyth; that's why there is development there. you don't think all of those people are commuting to downtown, do you? the job center in alpharetta is driving development there.
There should be nodes of dense employment so you can serve it with transit. You cannot go everywhere with transit. There will continue to be development of employment further and further out. The center will continue to have less and less a % of the area's employment. Putting a rail stop in north Alpharetta encourages that. It will do it enough on its own.

Use park n rides for the areas further out. That will service less dense areas and not provide a magnet for high density office development.

Oh Jeez dude, don't go there.

The folks in Forsyth are commuting mainly to the employment nods along 400--John's Creek, Alpharetta, Roswell, Perimeter, and Buckhead. From Cherokee, I suspect most are commuting to Cobb and Alpharetta, although you have some traveling into the city also.

It is going to be a good day when the Sandy Springs and Dunwoody stations have a lot of their passengers getting on to go northbound.

I do wonder what will happen to the North Springs station. Will it see a significant decline in ridership numbers?

Probably it will. Hopefully MARTA will open up the land for apartments or mixed use development and it will become a well integrated neighborhood station.

My statement was a factual and relevant response to a previous post.
