As to the parking, not our concern, we walk or ride our bikes .
We'll be doing the same soon. Making the move from Westlake to VAWO in July. As much as I love being West/Central, VAWO just completes way more checkboxes going forward as empty nesters.

What part are you moving to? We are much closer to Escarpment Village than ADH, which works well since we have young kids, but I would definitely like being on the other side as an empty-nester....

Near Davis/Beckett, south of Davis. Great little pocket.

I'd say the area around Parkside Village/ Alamo - particularly Circle C and Villages of Western Oaks - is going to continue to increase in value since it's already very established, and what is there is desirable grocery stores, restaurants, and other stuff. It's too bad that NXNW is building a restaurant there, but it's only a matter of time before it goes out of business and some better local restaurant like Z Tejas takes over the space. (Similar to what happened with Village Inn being replaced by Kirby Lane, etc.)

NXNW is a local restaurant, so I'm not sure what you mean. I've actually been impressed by the food the handful of times I've been to the Arboretum location and welcome them to the neighborhood!

I didn't know NXNW was a local place. I thought it was a chain from Dallas. Okay, I stand corrected. What are they known for? For some reason I associated them with Cool River and other overpriced 'Dallas' chain type places up near the Arboretum.

They have decent food (whereas Cool River doesn't, imho), but they DO tend to have a 'meat market' side, as well, where they have live music on the 'bar' side and the young n' hip go to be seen, flirt, whatever.....

Six house brewed beers on tap - some regulars, some rotational. Have won several awards for their beer. Also have "beer school" on a regular basis.

Actually, a much better choice than Z Tejas, since we already have one, just by a different name.

The parking situation is already silly in this center, and adding in NXNW, even with valet, is going to make it ridiculous on Friday and Saturday nights. I don't think South Lamar opening back up will do much to lessen the crowds at Slaughter on weekends.

Is NXNW kid friendly? If not, I'm sure the Circle C location will be, at least for the earlybird! You know, the parking doesn't bother me. I've never had a problem finding a spot.
