The Larson theory fits here. But it means that Ally said no. And then hinges on Hendrick having another sponsor lined up that says Yes.

Exactly... I reckon outside of Gene Haas self sponsoring Hendrick would be the guy to make it work.

yeah i miss riverside as well. some great racing there over the years. but i also agree that more road courses are necessary in nascar.

Who are they going to get to drive that car that's any better than him? I'd say he's the top free agent out there, all things considered. Kyle Larson is likely the better driver, but there's the baggage that comes with that for the moment.


Suarez, Lajoie and Jones are the others that are available right now.. And I wouldn't say any of them are an upgrade over DiBennedetto.


All three are talented, but I wouldn't give up the year of experience with DiBennedetto to hire one of them. It's not like an in-his-prime Jimmy Johnson is available.
