Works the same way, only reversed. If you see a ship at night, if you see a green light on its left (relative to your vantage point) and a red light on its right, that means it's coming towards you. If you see a red light on its left and a green light on its right, that means it's going away from you.
And if you see neither, that means that it had red turn signals and you couldn't tell if it was turning or stopping before it ran you over!
If you see both a red and a green on a ship at night it means your about to get run over and best get out of his way. Red/green are only to mark the forward (60 degrees from bow I think is the number) part of a vessel.

All in good fun. I just get sick of the "But Europe does it this way" crying many on here bring up when over here in the US we have some of the highest safety standards and strictest emissions regulations there are.

What's wrong with pointing out something they do right? They're not all bad.
Are there really people that spend this much time on the color of turn signals? Go outside and play!
Im surprised there has not been a discussion on who has the best air for your tires a tire store or a gas station. This is what this reminds me about is so ridicules its funny.

That's not nearly as important as what fragrance of Little Tree is the best. Then comes who has better air.
I personally feel any color other than red is more noticeable but I don't really care what color they are...just wish people used them more often. I mean what difference does the color make if half of the drivers out there don't even use them to begin with...ugh. This is what boils my blood.
Since you do that we don't expect to see any threads from you complaining complaining about rude and aggressive drivers.
I honk to correct drivers' about their dangerous mistake. That's what honk is for as well..
