It will make more sense in the end . Now to focus on finishing The Rise of Theodore Roosevelt.

Finished "And the Mountains Echoed" by Khaled Hosseini https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/...untains-echoed

This was a four star read for me. This book had 402 pages.

Finished "The Children" by Ann Leary https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/...4-the-children

This was a three star read for me. Sad to say, but I just kept reading so I could get to the finish line and begin some better. This book had 246 pages.

There is a very heavy domestic violence portion to that book. It is NOT a book for YA.

That was the only Kristin Hannah book I did not like.

I finished The Power of the Dog by Don Winslow and have the second book in the trilogy, The Cartel, waiting.

Right now plowing through Catherine Ryan Howard's Rewind. Light fare, have something even lighter, Timothy Hallinan's first Junior Bender book, Crashed. I'm not sure if I'll like it, but it seemed like a good idea to lighten it up in between the other stuff.

75% through Husband's Secret and I really like it.

Started Name of the Wind, by Patrick Rothfuss (recommended by my step daughter) and I think the writing is fantastic, to I am optimistic.

Of course The Body, by Bill Bryson (audio book) is just as awesome as I thought it would be. My brain is a little preoccupied and keeps wandering off, so I will need to listen again in the future.

And just for you, Mayvenne and Dawn - it's 272 pages.

I hate to take over this thread, but I have picked The Great Alone back up after your recommendation.

I'm a little further than half way through.
