I just finished "Looking like the Enemy" by Mary Matsuda Gruenewald. A bit intense at times. So for the rest of the day I will read a fast moving thriller, for fun.

“Mentats of Dune” by Brian Herbert and Kevin Anderson the 2nd book of the “Sisterhood of Dune” series. It was kind of drawn out and not among my favorites in the Dune conglomeration. “Navigators of Dune” is next and will once again have me all caught up.

Dune is one of my all time favorites, but after the first four I think they were not worthy of the series.

I think I gave up after Heretics of Dune.

Just finished "Burial Rites" by Hannah Kent https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/...9-burial-rites

I'm with you, phonelady, I really did like it but didn't love it, although it did have some VERY good descriptive writing.

This was a 4 star read for me.

This book was 314 pages.

Just finished "Mrs. Fletcher" by Tom Perrotta https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/...2-mrs-fletcher

This was a 2 star read for me. It tried really hard to be funny, but I felt is was marginal at best.

This book was 307 pages.

Thanks for the recommendation. Saw that this was a series so I'm starting with Bad Monkey (Andrew Yancy #1). Hilarious. Can't wait to get to Razor girl (Andrew Yancy #2). Like a Robert Crais Elvis Cole only in Florida lol.

I just finished the book. The first chapter was the most interesting. The poem was more inspirational.

Thanks for the update, I'll have to look for the book in my library. At any rate, the poem was definitely a keeper for me (never heard of it before). TY
